Do you accept my insurance?

Deerfield Dermatology accepts most of the insurance providers in the area. We have a list below of some of the insurance companies, but we are contracted with many more. Please contact your insurance provider to see if we are in network with your plan. On the front or the back of your insurance card you will find the phone number that will allow you to contact your insurance provider to confirm coverage.

 

When will I receive a statement?

Deerfield Dermatology will bill your insurance company after your visit. You will receive a statement after we receive an explanation of benefits from your insurance provider. As a courtesy, we will send an automated text to you informing you of any patient balances. Your statement will be available via your patient portal and sent to your home.

 

What if I believe I received a statement in error?

If you believe that you received a statement in error, call our billing department at 847-480-0004 and they will be more than willing to assist with any of your questions.

 

What if I don't have insurance?

For patients without insurance, an upfront charge will be required before seeing the physician. Once you are evaluated, the physician will determine the charges and you will be responsible for the remaining balance at the time of your visit. We offer a discounted rate for uninsured patients.

 

What forms of payment can I use?

Deerfield Dermatology accepts cash, personal checks, money orders, FSA, HRA, HSA, and VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit card payments. We also accept Care Credit.

 

Do I need a referral?

Many times, our patients are required to obtain a referral from their PCP. Please contact your insurance company to verify if a referral is needed before your visit. Deerfield Dermatology makes every effort to obtain referrals on behalf of our patients prior to their visit.
