Dr. Marcia Johnson
BOARD CERTIFIED DERMATOLOGIST
Dr. Marcia E. Johnson is a board-certified dermatologist that has been with Deerfield Dermatology since 2001. She specializes in the treatment of general dermatology for both adult and children with an interest in the treatment of skin cancer.
Dr. Johnson received her Ph.D. degree from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she held the Ford Foundation Graduate Fellowship and received both the Samuel J. Mitchell Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Research in Cellular and Molecular Biology and the Association for Women in Science Pre-doctoral Research Award.
Dr. Johnson completed her post-doctoral studies at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY where she held a National Institute of Health Post-doctoral Fellowship. Dr. Johnson received her M.D. degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI where she served on the research staff at the Michigan Cancer Foundation. She completed her medical internship at the Detroit Medical Center and her dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Johnson graduated with a Bachelor of Science Major in Biology at Morris Brown College in Atlanta.
