I had a small growth on my face that was identified as a Basal Cell Carcinoma, following a shave removal in early October. I returned on Nov. 4 for Moh’s Surgery with Dr. Singh-Behl (my Dermatologist). Both the doctor and the nurse were very friendly and professional, making the experience less disconcerting, as this was my first encounter with skin cancer. I was fortunate that Dr. Singh-Behl only had to do one round of surgical removal before the pathology report was clear. Given my years of sun exposure before the development of sun screens, I am aware there is a high chance that other carcinomas may develop as I grow older. Knowing that the worst part of the procedure was the lidocaine injection, I will be able to “face” future procedures with less trepidation.
