How it works?

TruSculpt 3D uses innovative monopolar radiofrequency technology to selectively target fat tissue and therapeutically heat it – until it’s eliminated and passed through the body naturally. Patients achieve an average of 24% fat reduction in as little as one treatment. This procedure is clinically proven safe and effective to get rid of stubborn fat cells permanently, even in areas that are resistant to diet and exercise.

How many treatments are needed?

Results are visible after just one treatment, with maximum results seen after 12 weeks. However, additional treatments may be required to achieve the personalized results desired.

How does it feel?

TruSculpt 3D procedures are typically described as feeling like a hot stone massage. During treatment, the temperature of your skin will rise but remain comfortable. Post-procedure, the treatment area will be warm and flushed for up to 24 hours. While you may experience mild sensitivity to the touch for a few days, you’ll be able to immediately return to normal activities and exercise.

Q: Who cannot be treated with truSculpt 3D ?

Patients that cannot be treated with truSculpt include:

– Those who are pregnant
– Those with cardiac pacemakers or internal defibrillators
– Those with malignant or benign tumors in area to be treated
– Those with metallic implants of any kind (including joint replacements) in area to be treated

Q: How long does a treatment take?

Treatment time depends on the area(s) treated, but typically a treatment takes between 30 minutes to an hour per area treated.

Q: How many treatments will be needed?

Your truSculpt treatment specialist will discuss with you the likely number of treatments that will be needed based upon the area(s) you wish to have treated and your desired results. One or 2 sessions are usually enough to create significant improvements, but more treatments can be performed if necessary.

Q: What do I need to do before a treatment?

There is no special preparation needed. You will have to remove any jewelry or body piercings in the area prior to treatment. Also, it is important to stay hydrated before and after your treatment.

Q: What happens during the treatment?

After a brief pre-treatment preparation, the truSculpt hand piece is applied to your skin and will deliver targeted pulses of appropriately calibrated RF energy. Each pulse will last on average 5 minutes; upon completion, the hand piece will move to an adjacent area to begin a new pulse. The actual treatment will typically last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on the number of pulses applied.

Q: What does it feel like?

The RF energy will heat deep layers of the skin, but most patients find the resulting discomfort easily tolerable. Your treatment specialist can adjust the temperature depending upon your comfort level. No pain medication, topical anesthetics, gels, or active cooling will be needed.

Yes, the procedure is non-invasive, so you can return to normal activities immediately. Patients frequently return to work right after the session.

The truSculpt 3D system is designed to provide a safe and comfortable procedure. Typically, there is no downtime after the treatment though patients may experience mild discomfort. Side effects are minimal and can include redness and mild tenderness in the treated areas. Usually these resolve within a few hours.
